We left that Sunday to drive to Miami for our honeymoon. We went to the Turks and Caicos, Coco Cay and Nassau. We had a wonderful time on our cruise! Ill post pictures when I get a chance.
Once our lives calm down a bit, I will give you a breakdown of the wedding week and honeymoon!

Weekend getaway
So this past weekend I went to visit Ryan in Biloxi. (He is working at Keesler AFB temporarily) I drove over there Friday afternoon after work. I was super excited to make this trip because this is the first time that I have driven by myself on vacation. Oh and I got to enjoy riding in my new car! Everything was going well until I got off at the wrong exit. I thought "oh this isnt a big deal, Ill just turn around." Well I made it a big deal. I got lost and I had to ask for directions. Turns out, I just had to continue going down the road and I would be where I was supposed to be. Well, I make it to the base and I have to check in, Ryan informs me that I need my drivers license, registration and proof of insurance. Youre thinking, yeah so what. Well I realized that I didnt have my insurance card with me! I suddenly started to freak out, "great I drove all this way and I cant get on the base." So I had to get a walking pass to get on the base and park my car down the road at the Beau Rivage parking garage overnight. My Mom emailed me a copy of my insurance card Saturday morning and I finally was able to park on base. Whew!
After the parking confusion Friday night, Patrick came to rescue me and take me to where the boys were staying, he said that they would be back shortly and to wait for them there. Shorty...umm 2.5 hours later. So the boys stroll in and we decide to go get something to eat. After driving around and not having any luck finding anything to eat, we settled on eating at Waffle House. It hit the spot at 10pm. Well by then anything sounded good.
Saturday, Ryan took me to the prime outlets in Gulf Port. I was surprised that he wanted to go, especially because he LOVES to shop...not. But we walked around and enjoyed our time together. I really did not find anything, well except for a Coach purse, but decided against buying it. Thank you will power!
Later that night, we decided to check out this local barbeque place called "The Shed." Ryan's momma recommended it to us. It was so neat. There was a blues band playing and everyone was sitting on picknick tables around a fire eating and listening to the band. It was very campy and fun. Totally out of the ordinary. I would definitely recommend you to try it.
Sunday, we decided to check out the casinos. We settled on the Beau Rivage because of their buffet. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a Champagne Brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mimosas. :) After brunch we decided to take a stab at the slot machines. 30 minutes later we had lost 60 bucks and we decided to head back to the base. The rest of the afternoon we relaxed until I had to leave.
Wedding Updates:
~Invitations are ordered and should arrive within the next week.
~DJ is booked
To Do:
~Compile a list of addresses
~Finish registering
~Pick out engagement pic for newspaper
~Finalize the menu
I know there is a ton more, but this is the most pressing for me now. Oh and I added a wedding count down and the bottom of the page. 80 days! Oh my!

Engagement pics are up!
So my last post talked about Ryan and I getting our engagement pictures take. I was worried that the weather wouldnt hold up for us. Despite the cloudy sky, the weather was perfect....well we made it work. So I wanted to post the link to our engagement pics. I am not as thrilled as I thought I would be, maybe because we are both super pale? Oh well, I guess we can always turn them into black and white :)

I'm engaged!
Ryan proposed at Bellingrath Gardens on December 23, 2008! It was a total surprise! We are both so excited! I am so looking forward to May 16th 2009!
So since then its been full swing ahead in wedding planning. I am glad to say that I have made most of the plans already. I just have some last details to work out, such as flowers, selecting food for the reception, picking invitations, picking a DJ and decorations. I am pretty proud of myself and my Mom for accomplishing everything else in less than a month! Who said planning a wedding in a month cant be done, I did it!
Oh anyone know of a good company to use for invitations? I want something that is pretty, but not too expensive.
This week is going to be super busy. We have to find some time to register, talk to a travel agent and have our engagement pictures done. I am super excited though. I am trying to fully enjoy this time in my life, because I know that it wont last long.
So on Saturday, we are having our engagement pictures taken. Ryan and I ( but mostly me) have been trying to come up with coordinating outfits for the pictures. I think that I was over thinking everything and I got too stressed out. But we have our outfits now and everything is good. I just hope that the weather turns out beautiful on Saturday because it is supposed to rain. :(
Anyways, stay tuned for the wedding updates!

First Attempt
Hey guys!
This is my first attempt to blogging... so here goes.
A lot of changes are going on in my life right now...and its a little scary. Who knows that making life changing decisions were so hard and scary? Up until now, my life has been planned out for me (thanks to my parents) and now at the ripe old age of 22 I am faced with making the decisions. So lately, this is what I have been contemplating..."what am I going to do after college?" Well folks, I HAVE NO IDEA! As of now, I am working for my Dad and I am really content with it. However, this is not a permanent job and I know that. I am scared to branch out and find a job related to my major. I guess I will finish up my last class and see where my life goes from there. I ll keep you posted.
So here is what has been going on lately...
Yesterday afternoon, Ryan, Rob and myself spent the afternoon at Ryan's parents pool. It was such a nice day and playing in the pool and getting some sun made it even nicer! I am so thankful that his parents let us use the pool when they are at work. It is so much closer than the beach!
Last night, Ryan and I rode out to the beach to see the sunset. Upon coming over the bridge, Ryan spotted a Coast Guard boat. He was super excited and could not wait to go and see it. As we walked up to the boat, we spotted one of the crew members on board, and he offered to give us a tour (how cool!). Ryan and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We learned a lot about what these men do...I think that the tour got Ryan excited for his future career!
Today, I went to lunch with Jessica. We had a great time chatting and shopping. We multi tasked on our lunch break. Those quick trips to the mall can still get you in trouble! It was nice to catch up. We are also going wedding dress shopping on Saturday. I am super excited to share this with her. I cant wait to see what she picks out.
Also, Mom comes home on Friday! I cant wait to see her. She has been gone for what seems like an eternity! But she will only be in town for the weekend, and then she flies out again for her job.
Policy starts on Monday! UGH! I am so not looking forward to taking this class. However, I am ready to be finished with college. I am not looking forward to not having a life for 6 weeks. So I guess I will suck it up and just do it. After that, it will all be over and I will look back and say that it wasnt so bad. NOT! Haha.
Anyways, I am getting very tired. I guess I should be heading off to bed. I hope that my first attempt went over well. Ill keep on trying!
xoxo,
Sarah
